While many homeowners may opt for vinyl or thinner cedar options, this customer wanted a true Western Red Cedar fence for its durability, character, and thick pickets. Unlike Japanese cedar, which is often thinner, Western Red Cedar offers a solid 3/4” thick picket, giving the fence a more substantial look and feel.
Although Western Red Cedar can be comparable in price to some vinyl fencing, we believe its natural beauty and sturdiness far outweigh the cost. To ensure a long-lasting, trouble-free gate, we also installed our in-house designed aluminum gate frame and post system, which helps prevent warping or sagging over time.
