Wood Fencing FAQs

What is the installation warranty on our wood fence?

We have an installation warranty that warrants that our fences will not lean, pickets will not come loose, and fence sections will not become loose for a total of two (2) years from the date of installation. What are not covered are loose pickets and sections as a result of force, storm damage, trees falling, or acts of God.

Is there a warranty on the wood material?

We do not have a warranty on the wood material, due to the fact that it is a natural product, and we can’t control exactly how the wood material will act in an exterior environment.

What type of gate hardware do you use?

We use hardware that is hand crafted by the Lancaster County Pennsylvania Amish. It is first hot dipped galvanized, and then powder coated.

Where is our wood fence manufactured?

Our wood fence is hand crafted by the Amish in Lancaster County Pennsylvania.

What type of fastener is used to construct your wood fences?

We use stainless steel nails and screws on all our western red cedar fences, and hot dipped galvanized fasteners on all our hemlock and treated fences.

How long can a wood fence be expected to last?

Our western red cedar fence can be expected to last at least 15 years and up to 30 years with the proper maintenance. Hemlock can be expected to last 10 to 15 years, and treated fence from 15 to 30. The better the fence is maintained with a protective stain or paint, the longer it will last. Further, keeping the bottom of the fence off of the ground will prevent the wood pickets from deteriorating.
